Got it Dave2. Thanks for that. I just got a visceral reaction when I thought about Dalton McGuinty and what the Libs have done to the rental market. It's tough to get out because the costs of getting in are extremely expensive nowadays.

You provided lots of good links. I was pushed hard in 2006 to buy in a few US states. My brother in law even invited me to a "Donald Trump" seminar.

?????? .
Don't understand that quote.

I am going to make one last observation about the US. This article states at the site of the upcoming Republican convention waterguns but not real guns have been banned.

Dave2, I've thought of getting out. Except I bought at prices a lot cheaper than what they are now. Because I bought cheap, my cashflow works. If I sold and wanted back in this market, I won't be able to do it because rents haven't gone up as purchase prices have. I would be saying goodbye to this market forever (unless there is some huge crash).

Thought so but wanted to be sure. Obviously I have a different opinion than a number of people on this board on this matter, yourself included. Fundamentally my concern is the Liberal government is taking advantage of people like you, because in effect with all the regulation etc. they are expropriating some of your asset (value.)

They are really good at that and I am worried with a minority government it could get worse in the short run.

Hard world to call right now. I am glad to be on sidelines and waiting developments. For the sake of everyone on this board I hope that the situations that got me in the first time do not repeat, because they mean a big price decline. Looking forward to a chat with Skitter. A lot of things I can learn.
