Think where we will be a year from now. We ARE the rental industry in Ontario.

Ok this is real old and I was not going to post but Margret said she was going to get her license. I have to ask her and do not know how to pm her yet. If she or any others here need help or advice on how to get into the program (Legitimate Medical need only)I would be happy to direct them to the resources they need including a Dr in Ontario.

margret That is what I am doing I took one of my units off the market because for what it would cost to buy my meds. I can get more value out of the space doing that than I can for rent. To fill my permit would cost between 2000-3000$ a month wholesale. $2250 to buy it from the Federal govt.

I was kidding well maybe not
If they really made it legal I would dump my tenants and grow it myself

Tenants can grow medical pot but they have to have a letter from you giving them your permission

I just hope they legalize it and for that matter legalize prostitution
The government should just tax it

You have to understand that when you call the LTB, you are not speaking to legal representatives. You are speaking to information providers who are trained to answer questions, but not give "legal advice". Clearly, they shouldn't answer this kind of question at ALL except to suggest the caller seek qualified legal advice, because those folks don't ever see the inside of a hearing room. It's frustrating. Some of the LTB staff are extremely good and have great suggestions but again, if you rely on their suggestions and take it all the way to a hearing and lose, the adjudicator won't care if you used that strategy based on what the LTB told you. I see this EVERY DAY at hearings. Don't rely on what they tell you, however well meaning. It's too dangerous.

A couple months back I was meeting with a mediator for an AGI. She was stuck on one section of the rta she called the the office to speak with one of her coworkers, who she could not reach. I suggested she call the hotline.

"Ha yeah right" after a short pause "sorry I probably shouldn't have said it like that"

Know someone who has a licence for medical marjiuana and they can grow 8 plants for their
own use. Not sure if there is any distinction if they rent or not - knowing the Lib gov't, I doubt it.

Update

I found these guys. But they do not service Quebec. Something to do with Quebec law being based on the Napoleonic Code. They are located in BC but serve the rest of Canada. This would be insurance that the tenant would have to get.

Not meaning to resurrect an old thread but this may be useful to some.
